Context and Requirements
Singer Quang Lap is the owner of the famous tea room and YouTube channel “Giong Ca De Doi”. He himself is also a famous singer in the Bolero world in Vietnam.
During the first visit to the survey, a studio complex consisted of 4 small studios with extremely bad design and sound quality but very expensive equipment. Of course, with such a setup, he couldn’t get the sound quality he wanted and couldn’t exploit the device’s full potential.
The time of project implementation (second half of 2020) is also the time when the Covid pandemic is raging. Therefore, singer Quang Lap asked us to come up with a cost-effective but highly effective solution, ensuring maximum recording quality of the studio’s input to put on their own mixing/mastering room (capital). also serves as an All-In-One studio).
Solutions by ISS Acoustics
We propose dismantling the entire old studio and reallocating the partition layout of all 3 small recording studios. The mixing and mastering room was moved to another larger room, more suitable for use.
To ensure optimal input quality (singing), 03 small studios are budgeted to equip with high-end sound absorption systems capable of absorbing extremely effectively over the response range from 40-20,000 Hz. , covering the full sound of the human voice.
Particularly for mixing and mastering rooms, ISS Acoustics proposes a solution to become an All-In-One room that has both good sound post-processing capabilities and excellent recording for singers when 03 studios small overload.
Result
All 04 studios have met and exceeded the sound insulation index designed from the beginning through the actual test session with the main technician of Giong Ca De Doi studio. The input recording quality of 04 studios was praised by singer Quang Lap and technicians “Nothing to criticize!”.
