Capital Studio - ISS Acoustics

Capital Studio is a complex of modern audio studios and post-production rooms in Ho Chi Minh City under the management of Saigon Prime Media Company. iSS Acoustics is honored to be the design and construction unit of 02 studios with 04 separate rooms for Foley Recording (sound recording) and ADR (voice recording).

Capital Studio Requirements

Soundproof, soundproof and soundproof. Nothing can be more inconvenient than when your customer is in need of recording the sound of a drop of water but is disturbed by the sound of the air conditioner or the speaker of the next room. Therefore, soundproofing is Capital Studio’s #1 priority for not only the sound studio (Studio B) but also ADR studio (Studio C).

Since the environment in the film itself is always changing, from small rooms to large rooms or halls or outdoors, the sound recording and ADR must not carry any indication of the acoustic environment. is collected. Therefore, Capital Studio requires us, after soundproofing, to process the acoustics as faithfully as possible while keeping the maximum usable area, which is not too spacious.

Solutions by ISS Acoustics

To ensure the very good soundproofing ability of Capital Studio, we designed the entire system of 02 studios and 04 rooms according to the principle of room in room. All ceilings, walls and floors are floating structures and have good vibration isolation with very low resonant frequencies.

The air conditioning system is also of special note because this is the place where loud noise is generated as well as noise transmission from outside into the studio or from room to room within the studio system.

Acoustic systems in Studio B (noise studio) and Studio C (ADR Studio) are optimally designed according to the specific application of the room. 40Hz is the target for Studio B and 60Hz is the target for our Studio C. As a result, both studios have good sound quality in accordance with the needs of use, the typical frequency range of the source as well as the maximum saving of wasted space.

Result

The project was successful with very good sound insulation of Studio B and C. Ambient noise level in the room (measured by the customer) ≤ 20dBA, meeting Dolby standards. Sound in the acoustics studio and ADR are both realistic and accurate within the designed frequency range.
